The up and coming female country music star Cam traded in her typical yellow dress for a white one this past weekend.
Known for her hit single “Burning House” and always seen in the color yellow- her favorite color. Cam went for a traditional white wedding dress in her nuptials. And though she now spends most of her time in Music City, she chose to wed in her home state of California.
Cam married fiance, Adam Weaver on September 24 in Joshua Tree, California, reported People. Wearing British designer Jenny Packman, Cam kept with her retro styling saying.
“It reminds me of a dress from the ’30s and I love things from the ’30s.”
Packman has dressed a long list of celebrities including the Duchess of Cambridge back in 2011 for the ARK Gala and she also designed the dresses that the Duchess wore when leaving the hospital after giving birth to Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Another notable dress for Packman was the bespoke gown that Adele wore to the 85th Academy Awards.
Country music played a big part of Cam’s wedding day as the couple’s first dance was to Miranda Lambert’s “Oklahoma Sky” but traditional stopped there as the couple walked down the aisle to a mariachi band while enjoying churros.
Cam told People, “Adam and I are obsessed with churros.”
In October, Cam will head out on her first headline tour “Burning House Tour” with thirteen stops. Cam recently received two CMA nominations for Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
