Daybreaker Nashville was born last year in true Music City fashion by kicking off the CMT Music Awards with an event in Schermerhorn Symphony Center. An “early morning dance movement” based in 22 cities around the world, Daybreaker regularly hosts themed parties in the mornings that begin with one hour of yoga + fitness experience followed by “dancing with reckless abandon” for two hours before work.
Intended to bring good, clean fun to the time of day typically reserved for monotonous routine, Daybreaker says “We don’t need alcohol. We don’t need to pretend to be someone else. We come as we are to sweat, dance, and connect with ourselves and each other.”
Daybreaker returns to Nashville Wednesday February 21 for their “WE ARE ALL ONE(sie)” Event at HQ Beercade Nashville. Encouraging attendees to show up in their favorite “onsie,” Wednesday morning’s event begins with yoga at 6am followed by the 7am-9am dance party! The morning also includes FREE Lemonkind juices, breakfast treats by Manitoba Harvest, and coffee!
In an additional effort to give back to the community, Daybreaker is asking attendees to bring any old yoga mats to donate to Small World Yoga, an organization that’s been bringing “free yoga to youth groups, homeless shelters and people who need it most in Nashville.” Complete with live performances and special surprises, the morning is sure not to disappoint.
If you are someone who shares Daybreaker’s Core Values of “Wellness, Camaraderie, Self-Expression, Mindfulness and Mischief” and you’ve been itching to break free from the monotony of morning routines, this is the event for you! Perhaps you just want to take one morning to hit the dance floor instead of the gym. In any case, we hope to see you there!
