After 30 years of “Shakespeare in the Park” performances at the bandshell in Nashville’s Centennial Park, the Nashville Shakespeare Festival is excited to relocate its Summer Shakespeare productions, THE TEMPEST and PERICLES, to the new mixed-use development, oneC1TY. This year’s productions are THE TEMPEST, a magical, romantic comedy for all ages, directed by Denice Hicks playing Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Labor Day Monday AT 7pm; and PERICLES, Shakespeare’s improbable odyssey, an apprentice company show directed by Laramie Hearn playing on Fridays only at 7pm and Labor Day Sunday at 10pm. The shows run August 15th – September 22nd in Nashville, and then THE TEMPEST plays an encore weekend at Academy Park Performing Arts Center in Franklin, TN from September 26-29th.  Summer Shakespeare Schedule: 5:45pm: Food & drink vendors open 6:00pm: Talking Shakespeare with nightly special guest speakers begins 6:00pm: Pre-show entertainment begins 7:00pm: Performance begins
